With over 30 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry, Simon has a passion for Performance and Risk Analytics. Most recently Simon spent 6 years at Sunsuper as Manager, Risk and Performance Analytics and was accountable for investment performance, attribution, risk analytics, and data strategy.

Sunsuper is a large complex superannuation fund that invests across all asset classes including illiquid assets. At Sunsuper, Simon developed a bespoke multi-asset class attribution model, implemented a data warehouse along with the Aladdin risk system, built a self-service performance reporting application as well as enhanced the risk reporting capabilities to the Investment Committee and Board.

Prior to joining Sunsuper, Simon was Managing Director of BNY Mellon Performance & Risk Analytics Australia and Russell/Mellon Analytical Services for 10 years while being responsible for all facets of the Australian business. Simon also managed the Analytical Services team at Russell Investments for 3 years, supporting the Asset Consulting and Manager Research teams. Prior to that Simon was Head of Performance at Govett Asset Management in London. During his time in London Simon helped Govett attain compliance with the GIPS standards, being one of the first firms to do so. He also served as a Senior Analyst at Prudential Portfolio Managers, and was with State Street Analytics in both Sydney and London for 8 years.
